INSPECTOR MOUSE

Stone and Steadman are playing to an adult audience in this spoofy detective adventure featuring Inspector Mouse, a Bogey type in trenchcoat and dangling fag, who traces a gang of cheese robbers through the shady Danish Blue Cheese Club and uncovers their limburger cache in the drum of a group called the Roquefours. Kids too young for Casablanca re-runs won't get the closing joke, and probably won't appreciate Steadman's racy pictures of harbor low-life--though, admittedly, the pictures are harder to pass up.
