MY GOOGOO

A crude stab at a story in the tackiest kind of doggerel. ""I said, 'I want a PET!'/ My Mom got all upset."" At the pet store she rules out everything alive (""We need a pet that's clean--/ One that is never mean--/ One that does not make noise--/ Something like our Mike's TOYS!""), so they head for the marionette-maker--who comes up with a battery-propelled apparition called GOOGOO. He's okay until he falls, loses a screw, and goes berserk. Whereupon Mom is won over to a REAL dog and cat. Just ghastly.
