WRITING BECOMES ELECTRONIC

Successful authors tell how they write in the age of computers. Hurwood's writers answer a series of questions according to their experiences. Subjects covered include: first getting into word processing; setting up your machine; kinds of word-processors used; essential functions of word-processing software; the learning process (getting to know your machine), research and the computer, rewriting, basic advantages of writing and editing, plus various nightmares, breakdowns and loss of copy. As much as the writers show their experience, this is nonetheless an enthusiasm-prompter for beginners. What makes it fun are the writers' personal experiences and the emotions they sometimes stir up in loved ones who haven't the vaguest idea of what the user is so obsessed by.
