Miss Kavinoky taught, wrote both novels and poetry, and much of this is written in the language of the lyricist-- ""like a pearl- alien matter- a luminous intrusion- spinning malignancy in a sound shell."" It is of course inescapably affecting but one may well question reader reluctance.
