KIRKUS REVIEW

The author of Do It Yourself, Make It Yourself etc. now offers an all purpose activity book of things to do for the eight to eleven group, with help, where needed from adults. It is valuable mainly for coverage which includes a wide variety of projects from carpentering to make believe games. Other sections are on hand puppets, scrapbooks, more games, ideas for hobbies or collections, sewing, gifts to make, tricks and puzzles, and suggestions for holidays. All of the materials are simple, easy to obtain and even in a major activity like carpentry, basic instructions and directions for a few models are clear and offer room for initiative and good grounding for more intensive work. Good elements.
