The special agents of a railroad's Los Angeles division on the track of a claims check artist are faced with the murder of a retired cinder dick and investigator Vic Moine has his loyalty to his dead friend and the division tested. Trespassing and robbery in the yards lead to upper bracket juvenile delinquency and tie in with the two other searches until, with the FBI, the chase has a point to point end that spells an answer for Moine. The railroad specialization here is more humanized than in F.O.B. Murder and clears the track for the addicts.
