KIRKUS REVIEW

Straight adventure, with modern trimmings -- as the Strongs set out to spot oil in the Everglades, with the latest in mechanical equipment, and with a scouting plane. Three companies are attempting the same thing- with a big award in view; and competition gets bitter as the contest narrows down to one group and the Strongs- and the rival contestants do not hesitate to use unscrupulous methods, to deliberately antagonize the Seminoles, to tamper with equipment, even to go in for kidnapping. Eventually, right wins- oil is discovered- peace restored, even with the Seminoles. Good escape reading.
