KIRKUS REVIEW

The co-authors of Mister Billy's Gun (1960, p.754, J-270) and other well-received titles, now follow two children through winter in the city (all signs point to N.Y.C., although no names are actually mentioned). The children watch the Thanks- giving Day Parade, Christmas shop, feed the pigeons, ski in the park, visit the zoo, and watch the busy snow-removal crews, but the eventful jaunts are narrated with a flat objectivity which seems to negate any sense of excitement or enthusiasm.
