KIRKUS REVIEW

The war just seems to help those youngsters capitulate suddenly -- as Berta shows in this story of the young R.A.F. hero pilot, Jim, and Elizabeth, for whom he takes a nose . All told by an older friend and helping-hand, who, siding with Jim, tries to keep Elizabeth from marrying money (for the sake of her family, of course), and helps Jim to get engaged when he is taken prisoner in Germany. He escapes -- Elizabeth breaks her engagement -- and all's well at curfew. Sunkissed.
