In two separate collections, Beth Brown has gathered a well-rounded sampling of dog and cat stories by many different authors. There are titles by G. Kirk, Natalie Salvage Carlson, Alexander Hull, Doris Gates representing the canine group. For feline enthusiasts there are stories by Lewis Carroll, Aesop, Arthur Ransome, Rudyard Kipling, Elizabeth Coatsworth. In both books, additional authors also present their favorite characters in these species to delight animal lovers of all ages, whether young listeners in the early grades or older independent readers.
