KIRKUS REVIEW

Coincidence, on heavy feet, roams at large in the romance of Sarah Jane radley and Tom Johnson; both are scientifically inclined; both have families who are tied down to farms. And, the author cannot stop-- the two families collide (almost literally) when they both chance to set out from Colorado bound for Oregon to find new lives and new land. Happiness is generously sifted on top of coincidence as Sarah grows to love farms and farmers, as she watches her beloved farmboy become more and more hamstrung by the soil. A poor pacifier for he love lorn by an author who knows not the meaning of restraint.
