When Vanessa Hollister reluctantly heads back to the town where she spent her senior year of high school to plan her wedding, she runs headlong into the past she’s spent a decade trying to forget—namely, her ex-husband, Logan.

Vanessa’s life is on track. She has a satisfying professional life as a paramedic and she’s about to marry the man she loves, Ted, a doctor. However things get a little tricky when Ted decides it would be practical to plan their wedding to coincide with a conference he wants to attend. The conference is in Florida, and Ted picks Destin as the location for their destination wedding. Destin: where Vanessa transplanted with her military family during her senior year of high school and met Logan Hollister, whom she’d fallen in love with and married during spring break. He was the man she thought she’d be with forever, until his career as a storm chaser took over their marriage, and she left him and Florida behind. Until Ted wants her to go to Destin and make preliminary wedding plans. When a hurricane hits during her visit, Vanessa is thrown back together with Logan, as they're called on to help victims of the storm, making them question their decision to part. Vogt’s inspirational romance will be a welcome addition for readers who appreciate the inclusion of God and faith in their love stories. The story is engaging and nicely paced, and watching Vanessa and Logan reconnect, while also getting peeks of their past relationship, works well most of the time. Vanessa’s character can be annoyingly inconsistent, however: she's strong-willed when she’d be better off being open-minded and indecisive when she needs to take a stand.

A touching inspirational romance that weaves faith and love together in a convincing and heartfelt way.
