SIR ABERNATHY by Betsy; Illus. Jackie Lacy Gene

SIR ABERNATHY

By

Pub Date: Feb. 5th, 1964
Publisher: E. C. Seale

Following the full schedule of Sir Abernathy, a coal black cat, the author uses simple words to describe his catly curiosity and his busybody sense of directing the many affairs of a large household. Black and white drawings are used to good effect. Sir Abernathy, an angular aristocrat done in solid ink, is the focus of each well laid out page. He moves against the trim line drawings of a Victorian house full of people and other animals. Not really a story and holding no surprise, oernathy's typical day is as neatly appointed as the illustrations.
