Missing is the strength of For the Leg of a Chicken (1960, p. 754, J-270) by the same author, in this sweet little book in which a dear friend searches for a doll for a dear little girl. She cannot decide which doll to buy, so she draws and describes the various ones she sees-- and presents her artistry here. The pictures are delicate and sweet-- too delicate and too sweet, except perhaps for the daintiest doll lover.
