A revealing account of the work undertaken and the achievement of the National Youth Administration. Through a study of its aims, through reports of research into projects the country over, through case histories and interviews and letters from young people who have benefitted by it, the authors build up the picture. So little is known generally that this should be an important contribution to a better understanding of the constructive part government is playing in building youth morale and laying better foundations for the future. The educational aspects -- keeping boys and girls in school and college at a much lower cost than sustaining an increased unemployment roll, supplying work, -- projects, and so on. The history of employment following the experience and training is heartening. Should be an essential book for anyone interested in the problem of youth today.
