SITI'S SUMMER

When her mother and brother become seriously ill, little Siti is sent from her home in Indonesia's capital, Djakarta, to stay with her great grandfather in a distant village. At first the young girl is frightened and homesick, but when she meets the wonderful old man and sees the rich jungle country, she is surprised by her sudden happy excitement. The dialogue is slightly stiff and the writing is unexceptional, put the strange setting and Indonesian ways of living will be of some interest. In the end, Siti leaves for home-- happy at the thought of seeing her family, sad to eave her loyal friend, great grandfather, alone.
