INTERIOR DECORATION A TO Z

By

Publisher: Doubleday

This looks (although we've had none of the illustrations to look at) as if it would be an attractive pictorial glossary of generic categories, particular terms, styles, designers, etc. in which the brief definitions are fully visualized in the 335 black and white, 60 color halftone illustrations. For example, under A, Adam style, antique, applique, apron, art moderne or nouveau are some of the specifics. On the whole, this is high-fashionable in selection and designation (epergne, faux-bois, bombe, are not department store shopping terms), and the format of the book, 8 3/8 x 11, suggests the coffee table which is not even mentioned. Try the tabouret which is.
