RUN SHEEP RUN

An inconsequential little first reader that exhibits some confusion in its telling and ends up with an overdrawn play on the title of the well known game. Joe and Jack are given two lambs by their farmer grandfather. The lambs Bumpy and Jumpy, are hitched to a wagon and with a box of grass as lure younger sister Little Bit is given a ride up the hill. At the top the lambs turn around and run home and that's the new way to play the game. Mary Gehr's light drawings aren't always what the thin text is about, but format and story thread are attractive.
