KIRKUS REVIEW

Hillier, author of two books on Art Deco, has assembled everything from bric-a-brac to furniture designs for this pictorial history of the decorative arts of the WW II years and the postwar boom. Much of this was later dubbed Pop Art. Some fascinating propaganda posters for the War effort, advertisements for films, pottery, industrial designs, pin-ups, dress designs, stage sets, book jackets and much more. Artsy nostalgia.
