THE BLUE YEAR

The Blue Year is actually only one unhappy summer following the divorce of Jill Moore's parents--her senior year in high school. She's got her father's dog to love (her mother doesn't want him in the house) and Bart who's been there (his parents threw things; hers are Civilized). During this time Jill has to contend not only with her mother, proprietary, resentful, but also with the fact that her father is going to marry again. She also learns a little about the need to love and be loved....Even though Jill's father comes through much more attractively, Mrs. Bradbury tries to let the soap chips fall where they may in what is essentially, a story girls will like.
