'Happiest' is the quality for which Mutt, who belongs to Bill, wins his ribbon in a dog show. It all goes to show too that snobbery doesn't pay, for the fancy dogs in Mutt's and Bill's apartment building only sit and quarrel about how many prizes they've won.
