KIRKUS REVIEW

More beautifully photographed wildlife from the former National Geographic photographer (It's an Armadillo!, 1989), who's back with a longer, more scientifically oriented and informative text. Some of these photos are a little hard to read, but that's the nature of their sinuous, well-camouflaged subject; shots of the rattler consuming a mouse are arrestingly vivid, but not sensational. A good, useful nature book.
