KIRKUS REVIEW

Browne's Hagar, above, begins ""Look both ways before crossing a Viking"" and Fat Albert (who perhaps exhausted his Wit and Wisdom in the 1973 volume), advises ""Look before crossing the 14th Street gang."" There are other near duplications, and Cosby's versions are no funnier, though at least Fat Albert is closer to home. But remember what he says about Kung Fu movies (""groovy, but two hours later you want more violence"") and fast food restaurants: ""the trouble (is), five minutes later I'm still hungry."" And five minutes after picking up the Survival Kit you've forgotten it.
