THE COUNTRY CLUB CAPER

Tired turf cluttered with more impedimenta than a pack rat's sandhole -- namely golf and fish and conservation and Red (Indian) Power. Local enthusiast and tycoon Jonathan Jericho is all for promoting golf tournaments in Walluma City, Oregon, but he is not so crazy about the Walluma Indians whose interests collide with business. On the nicer side there's a golf course owner, an Indianboosting college prof, a lady golf pro, an Indian Lady Scientist, a Chief and an Industrialist. Filling out the crowd scenes are student activists who run riot in golf carts to no better effect than the novel's.
