FOOTBALL SUPERSTARS OF THE 70's

Easy-to-swallow capsule biographies of a dozen top pro football players. Among the more familiar names on the roster are Buffalo's ""Juice,"" O. J. Simpson, strong-armed Terry Bradshaw of the Steelers, New Orleans Southern hero Archie Manning, and Franco Harris, the MVP in last year's Super Bowl. Lesser known yet equally interesting are Mike Reid, Cincinnati's music-loving defensive tackle; Chester Marcol, Green Bay's soccer-style field goal kicker who booted his way into the NFL from Opole, Poland; and ""Super Bill"" Bradley, the Eagles' all-pro free safety who's not to be confused with ""Dollar Bill"" Bradley of the New York Knicks. A passable sampler. sampler.
