The second time out for the Fishery Protection cruiser Marlin and, predictably, waters are awash with smugglers running everything from booze to bodies. Captain Shannon and investigator Carrick have to circumnavigate a whole clan of recalcitrant Scotsmen as well as a renegade hydrofoil. Lots of action; not much ballast.
