PHIL ESPOSITO: Hockey's Greatest Scorer

After a few unproductive seasons spent feeding Bobby Hull the puck, ""Espo"" was traded to Boston in 1967. The ""lumbering"" center went on to guide the Bruins to the 1970 and 1972 Stanley Cup Championships in addition to rewriting the hockey scoring books. A highly competitive team leader--""If my mother were tending goal for the other team, I'd try to beat her""--Esposito also sparked Team Canada to their comeback victory over the Russians in the fall of 1972. Enough rink highlights here to warrant an assist--though fans who have followed Phil to the N.Y. Rangers will leave Libby behind.
