Everybody who knows anything about the case tells Nameless that he doesn't want to pursue this one, and everybody's right: Melanie's birth mother is long dead, and her birth father is a man Melanie will be very sorry she went hunting for--as will Nameless and his bride. No mystery this time: Nameless just tracks his man, seethes at the mess he's found, and dodges bullets.
