BILL ROBINSON'S BOOK OF EXPERT SAILING

Bill Robinson is a widely read commentator on all aspects of sailing. This slender book presents 15 interviews with various savants of the sail -- among others there are: Scott Allan on the floppy rig; Joe Duplin on the bendy rig: Eric Olsen on vangs and travelers; and Glen Foster on single-handing. The second part of the book is given over to no-nonsense advice on the formation of sailing clubs, running their juvenile programs and the responsibilities of the Racing Committee. The last brief section is a sailor's guide to weather watching with a general discussion of the psychological effects of various racing ploys. Aimed at the able this will leave lubbers far behind.
