THE BOY WHO GOT MAILED

This is an off-beat kind of funny story- a farce really,-- which many little children like. Peter wanted to visit his Aunt Jane in Kansas but he didn't want to go by bus. He preferred to go by United States Mail. With $3.79 postage on his forehead and a cancellation stamp on his nose he was trussed in a mail bag, loaded on a freight car and stamped Do Not Freeze. Droopy Dawson -- ""the roughest and the toughest and the meanest mail robber in the forty nine states including Alaska"" ... was captured with Peter's help before the trip was over. Might be comic relief in some primary classrooms doing units on Community Helpers.
