The Gruenbergs have a deep comprehension of the demands of childhood education and guidance, and this book developed out of Mrs. Gruenberg's successful The Wonderful Story of How You Were Born. Requests for a next older book were constant, and in this the authors tell the story of birth, growth, development, physically and emotionally. In a text which frequently answers the inevitable, hesitant and groping questions of youth, and does it with just enough specific information to satisfy without arousing curiosity beyond the point of readiness, they have given more than just a sense of comprehension of physical facts. They have charged their young readers with a sense too of the contribution they can make to becoming an adult. Here is a book to give to boys and girls in the early teens. And a book that will help parents who are uncertain as to how to meet the questions of adolescence. Mrs. Gruenberg's long experience in the Child Study Association is sufficient guarantee of the sound approach here.
