KIRKUS REVIEW

Based on an actual incident, the Battle of Whiskey Hills, this develops what happened before and after to the Wallingham Train carrying some 2700 cases of champagne, 1600 of whiskey. Pacing the train's progress into Denver were 250 suffragettes dedicated to the Cause- temperance, only to be captured by an Indian war party. As the fumes clear- an exchange is made, ladies for liquor... Appropriately spirited, bluff and jovial.
