A cute cat story, and there are not very many of them. Pelagie Doane has made charming pictures and shown Mollie as a very appealing and real little girl. The story of how she saved a whole litter of kittens next door by finding homes for them. (and purely incidentally saving her father's bank in the process) -- and of then the tragedy of her neighbor's disposing of the mother cat makes good reading.
