SILVER DOLL

Hollywood hypertension in the story of Marty, who made his money in slot machines but did not question the tactics of the Combine which controlled them; Doll who had left him with a slow burn; Prentiss Mercer- on her way up in pictures- through Marty-and in love with him; and Duke, Doll's new husband, and an old hand with the women. It takes the murder of a radio commentator for the payoff in which Marty loses his girl, gives away his crooked empire, but gains his self-respect.... Loose operations- but some mighty tight fitting outfits.
