Vintage 1931 cliches clutter this orphan-boy-makes-good story set on a dry Colorado prairie farm during the depression. ""You can't trust those Home boys for a minute"" say the Denver people, but out in the country where he is sent for the summer hardworking, conscientious, considerate, animal-loving Terry is ""really somebody"" at last. True to formula, the orphan helps the son of his summer family to walk again, buys the mother a red dress with the first money he's ever had, wins a prize at the county fair, and gets adopted. No chance of missing the point.
