It is a book designed for a very special market -- primarily Western or South-western, certainly for outdoor people who need hearty meals for healthy appetites. There's plenty of ""true western"" material here for the grown-up, would-be cowboys, , sources of expressions and names of foods. There are basic instructions for outdoor cooking, preparation of game, and so on. And there are scores of recipes drawn from today's ranch kitchens and chuck wagon (Arizona primarily) for everything from soup to dessert.
