KIRKUS REVIEW

The growing up of a young American girl of Norwegian descent deals with the problems which face the first and second generation newcomers and natives in America. Lung's intolerant mother is made more bearable by a loving grandmother- and finally she emerges as a teacher, able to help her own people. Sturdy.
