A HANDBOOK OF FIST PUPPETS

There is here much more of the background of puppet history and theory than in other puppet books recently published. The result is a book that is of interest rather for adults training young people in the use of puppets, for boys and girls who have already gone rather deeply into the matter, than for the beginner. Following the background material, there is, to be sure, an ample assortment of valuable working data, -- how to make puppets of various kinds, how to manipulate them, how to build a stage, how to use materials at hand. The last part of the book includes a number of puppet plays.
