Trouble in the border town of Santa Ysabel, Territory of New Mexico, for V. Crumm, lady proprietor, who is heckled to leave, for Miles Clarke who comes to claim his inheritance and clear his vanished uncle's name, for Ellen Fraser who has come to join her twin brother on his newly acquired ranch. Clarke uncovers two murders, cattle rustling, and allied chicanery, does a capable mopping up for law and order. Standard.
