DEATH OF A WICKED LADY

A second inflamed crime of passion has a rural rather than Dublin Irish setting and pursues the killing of Maria, a sluttish servant girl found dead in the clothes of her employer, Ann Fox-Cheyney, while possibly carrying the child of Ann's worthless husband John. However there is much to be absolved as well as resolved-outside of the confession booth after her death makes public other transgressions.... An ably handled account of a strumpet and a shrike.
