Still another flossy revival--of elaborate Art Deco illustrations (dating from 1925) that are moderately interesting as period-pieces and absolutely inappropriate, in settings or tenor, to Grimm. (Opening this volume, you might think you were looking at a vapid, rarefied version of The Arabian Nights.) There's also a lavender double-border choking the block of text on each page--a text, finally, composed of compound sentences that sometimes stretch for five or six lines. Only for comprehensive assemblages of book illustration, and more of a misfire than a model at that.
