Slightly off the rental route, a little more effort at backgrounds, people, but that's what it adds up to nonetheless. Terry, pretty, vivacious, determined, sets out to rise above her Flatbush home setting and eventually does. Her eldest friend, Paul goes to England to study further at Cambridge, So Terry marries slow, will -- whose the mistake and leaves her free to go to Paris to culture. There she has a meaningless affair, which makes her feel that she is now of Paul, but he -- fortunately -- doesn't apr.
