KIRKUS REVIEW

The Fahnestock brothers, 23 and 21, have a windfall and are able to realize their lifelong dream -- cruising strange places in a sailboat. With three others, including Dennis Puleston of Blue Water Vagabond (last issue) they set out into the Caribbean, through the Canal, across the Pacific, to Galapagos, New Guinea, the Marquesa Islands and many others, with a long stop-over in Tahiti. Changes in the crew -- red-blooded adventures -- pearl diving -- big-game hunting -- gales at sea -- cannibal islands -- discovery of new islands and of valuable hieroglyphics -- misadventures galore, etc. At last, lack of funds force them to sell the boat, and they travel on to China, and crank newsreels for Paramount in the midst of war. A good set of yarns, told by boys with spirit and guts. Plus sale for older boys.
