KIRKUS REVIEW

Rick, reporter and marksman, army bound, spends his last few days investigating the murder of an unknown girl, and finds himself open season for one of the inheritors of the fortune of Anselm File. File's sister and niece, only relatives, find their expectancy challenged by the prospect of an unknown daughter who materializes in the shape of three claimants. A chase from New York to Florida which ends at a grave settles the question of millions and murderer. Hotfooted.
