Ordinarily, Anglican divines are associated in the public mind more with liturgical services than with evangelistic meetings. However, Bryan Green has demonstrated both in England and America that a powerful and moving evangelistic message can come from one steeped in the traditions of the Church of England. His preaching missions conducted here in the last few years have drawn great crowds and have proven singularly effective. In this book he sets forth his conception of the evangelistic task of the church and discusses the methods and techniques that he has found most effective. His work and this book is a demonstration of the fact that to win people to a vital Christian faith bizarre and sensational emotionalism is not necessary. It is a fine presentation by one of the most vital personages in the English-speaking Protestant world and should be of interest to Protestant ministers who are concerned with the outreach of the church.
