I SHOULD LIVE SO LONG

By

Publisher: Lippincott

The quippy tale of the author's four years in the army as an entertainer, going through training at O.C.S., getting his first assignment as script writer, and spending several years in charge of the Sky Blazers, an entertainment squad which performed in Africa, England, and the Continent. The razzed commander of operations is a colonel dubbed Blackheart. A snake is subtler but sassifras isn't sassier than this impudent romp, with highlights like the meeting with Jack Benny and the bombardment of a hen in France by fifteen men with only superficial results...if you enjoy your humor bare as bear and like to feel your funnyman is working his hardest to be funny, you may enjoy this book. It is also a kind of monument to the Sky Blazers and their work during the war.
