More adult than most this varies the pattern of the usual Western. Tom McComber returns to Clovis after 5 years -- still at odds with his father who is to marry Tom's ex-wife, Rhonda. Tom sides with his father's enemy in a water feud, works for his daughter, Eve, when he is killed. Rhonda makes a play for Tom as does Eve; one of his father's hands brews trouble for Tom with insane killings and perverse acts. Tom battles hungry Colts and gunthrowers to a finish, proves himself innocent and gets a new girl.
