THERE IS NO COINCIDENCE"" maintains the machine that has long been an all-purpose monolith. Then it has to build a FUNCO file or ""FUNNY COINCIDENCE REPOSITORY"" to keep up with the coincidental data pouring in about the four ""freaks"" hiding out in the woods. The same woods. There's Rolf, the Ozark kid who more or less controls a frisky poltergeist; Mr. Kleiber, an insomniac who counted everything until he discovered that he could write blue-flamed words with his nose; Djeela-Lal, a quippy concubine who can literally levitate a love affair, now on the run from her cuckolded master; and the soldier, AWOL from a secret mad-dog unit of conditioned murderers. All four are dodging the F.D.I. (Federal Deviation Investigations) attempting to bring them in for trial...All turn out to be machine-made and man-handled in a totally wild, thoroughly unpredictable and not-so-coincidentally funny entertainment.
