With a minimum of introductory advice (wear a costume--like this simple turban and cape; save your best trick for the last; smile when you perform) and a concise clutch of parting tips (never tell the audience what is going to happen), the authors present seventeen standard, manageable magic tricks: vanishing dimes, a magic hat (complete with hidden sock rabbit), loop and cord tricks, a disappearing act to top it off. This last feat is unlikely to mystify as billed, but never mind. If you have room for yet another easy magic book, the Marks' informal style and Madden's jaunty drawings make this a likely addition.
