KIRKUS REVIEW

An unsureness of mood and style marks most of the lyrics in this newest collection by the author of The Ballad of the Bones and Bow Down in Jericho. With a certain passion, a certain lyric gift, a certain skill in epigrammatic statement, there is nevertheless something unsatisfying about these verses. Most of them have appeared in the Poetry Chap Book, The Georgia Review, Kaleidograph and other ""little magazines"" in the past year. But the author will have to deepen and integrate his thought and style before he can command serious attention.
